Strong Malaysian Delegation at Ideas Festival 09, Brisbane

A strong delegation from Malaysia is in Brisbane to participate in the exciting Ideas Festival 09 which commenced on 25 March. Thanks to the enthusiastic support of the Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation (MOSTI) and our partners in Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL), the delegation organized by MACRI increased to 33 members including the Hon. Minister of Science, Technology & Innovation, YB Datuk Dr. Maximus J. Ongkili and our Founder/President Dato Ghazi.

Besides MOSTI senior staff and UniKL lecturers, staff and students, our delegation comprise of representatives from various government agencies, namely MAVCAP, MTDC, MIMOS, SIRIM, MDeC, Astronautic Technology Sdn Bhd. and Agensi Remote Sensing Negara.

Dato Ghazi proudly received YB Datuk Dr. Maximus J. Ongkili in Brisbane on 26 March. A series of very fruitful discussions were held and the early indications are that the Minister is very pleased with the initiates and inroads made by our President in Brisbane.

Another proud moment awaits us when Dato Ghazi as President of MACRI presents his talk on “Democratization of Innovation” on 28 March 2009. He is one of the nine guest speakers specially invited by the organizers of Ideas Festival 09. This privilege and prestige is another feather on MACRI’s cap.
